Old doors
Beautiful old rustic, often weathered, wooden entrance doors are a wonderful example of traditional architecture in Mallorca. These doors are often handmade and are a testament to the craftsmanship and skill of the people who created them. They are usually made of solid wood and have beautiful details and ornamentation, adding to the character and personality of the building. The doors can also be treated with paint or patina, which gives them a unique and authentic look. An old wooden door can be a highlight of the building, reflecting the history and charm of the place. Such a door is also a symbol of safety and protection. It can help to create an exceedingly cosy atmosphere that conveys a feeling of security and warmth. In addition, an old wooden door is also environmentally friendly and sustainable, as it is often made from natural materials. If well cared for, it can last for many decades or even centuries, making it an important part of the island's history and culture. Old rustic wooden entrance doors are a beautiful part of traditional architecture in Mallorca, reflecting the uniqueness and beauty of the island.

Porto Cristo is a picturesque coastal town on the east coast of Mallorca and is located about 12 kilometres south of Manacor. The port of Porto Cristo is an important fishing port and a popular destination for tourists who want to experience traditional Mallorcan life. There are many activities for visitors in Porto Cristo, including boat trips, diving, snorkelling and water sports. The port also offers opportunities for anglers who want to go on a fishing trip. One of the most famous sights in Porto Cristo is the Coves del Drach, a series of underground caves known for their stunning underground lakes and stalactites. There are daily guided tours of the caves, which are suitable for visitors of all ages. There are also many restaurants and bars in the town serving local specialities and drinks. Most of these places are located in the centre of Porto Cristo and offer a beautiful view of the harbour. Another highlight in Porto Cristo is the monastery of Santa Maria dels Angels, built in 1699. It is a beautiful example of Mallorcan architecture and offers an insight into the history and culture of the island. Porto Cristo is also an ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding area. There are many beaches nearby, such as Cala Mandia, Cala Romantica and Cala Anguila, which are among the most beautiful beaches on the island.
