Thornham Staithe Norfolk

On the North Norfolk coast the old coal barn and abandoned boat are iconic images of the staithe. The village is separated from the sea by marshes filled with wildlife. The white-painted pub in Ship Lane, The Lifeboat Inn, was originally built in the 16th century and was a smuggler's ale house. The sea can be accessed through a network of tidal creeks that reach out through marshes to the sea. The Coast Path gives access to the hidden creeks and tiny harbours (staithes). Sirmione, Lake Garda

Sirmione is a resort town at the top of a peninsular at the southern end of Lake Garda in northern Italy. The Old Town is accessed through the gate house of a medieval castle and is the home of thermal springs and the Roman ruins of Grotte di Catullo. Not surprisingly the town is very busy with tourists and day trippers arriving by bus and ferry from all around the lake.

Andorra is a tiny, independent principality situated between France and Spain in the Pyrenees mountains. It’s known for its ski resorts and a tax-haven status that encourages duty-free shopping. Capital Andorra la Vella has boutiques and jewelers on Meritxell Avenue and several shopping centers. The old quarter, Barri Antic, houses Romanesque Santa Coloma Church, with a circular bell tower.
